Case Studies
The three case studies that have been added to the site demonstrate very different uses of the database.
- The first from Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust (CHDT) shows how they used the online database in the context of planning new outreach sessions for schools in partnership with Maidstone Museum.
- The second case study demonstrates that by moving from paper to the Schools4Museums database, Hampshire County Council Museums and Archives Service has built up a more consistent picture of the use of museums by schools, identifying patterns of visits across the county. This in turn has influenced their use of resources and shaped their education offer.
- Finally the third highlights the strategic use of the database, as a tool to generate evidence about the impact of investment and resources in schools' education services across the Milton Keynes/South Midlands Growth Area, where for the first time in the UK school participation is being used as a key sub-regional performance indicator.
