Schools4Museums
Welcome to Schools4Museums the longest running and most comprehensive regional collection of information about how schools use South East museum services.
Since 2002 this project has collected almost 80,000 records, mapping the relationships between schools and the region's museum education services.
Schools4Museums contains information about all 266+ South East Registered/Accredited museums, their collections and education services, as well as nearly 30,000 state and independent schools across England.
Schools4Museums is designed to give museum managers, curators, education staff and volunteers up-to-date information about how Primary, Middle, Secondary, Special and Independent schools are using museums across the South East.
Schools4Museums does this through:
- Creating up-to-date maps and satellite views of all the schools located within a 30 - 90 minute drive time of each museum
- Providing easy to use schools finder searches, that allow museum staff to locate schools by Name; Location; Postcode; Drive time; Type; and Level of museum education activity or through combinations of these criteria
- Giving museum staff schools marketing databases and school address labels for free!
- Providing a free, easy to use online booking diary that shows schools's bookings by the day, week and month and is accessible at home, at work or on the move, anytime!
